Bruno Senna will contest just the Le Mans 24 Hours with Aston Martin Racing in 2014.
The ex-Formula 1 driver, who undertook a full World Endurance Championship campaign with the British manufacturer in 2013, revealed to AMR that he would be unavailable for a season-long ride as early as last September.
“Le Mans is all Bruno is available for,” AMR team boss John Gaw said. “We have known about this since the Austin race last year, so a full program for Bruno was never in the plan.”
Senna won his class on two occasions last season. He will drive AMR’s additional third car at the 24 Hours in June with teammates who have yet to be decided.
The Brazilian is expected to announce his full 2014 plans shortly.
