Alex Brundle topped the times for the second straight practice session of the TUDOR Championship’s foray to Circuit of The Americas, and again dropped into the sub 2-minute category, something no-one else could manage. However, his 1min 59.701sec was nowhere near his afternoon time in OAK Racing’s Ligier JSP2 – HPD, and so his margin was “just” half a second over Michael Valiante in the Spirit of Daytona Corvette DP. The similar cars of Chirtian Fittipaldi and Ricky Taylor were third and fourth.

As the Ligier appeared to have a clear advantage in Prototypes, so Porsche continued its domination of the GTLM category, completing a 1-2-4 with the No. 910 of Patrick Pilet/Frederic Makowiecki again having the edge. This time the car to interrupt the German marque’s domination was the Dodge Viper SRT of Jonathan Bomarito.

Jack Hawksworth topped PC for RSR Racing, while the GT3 Dodge Viper bared its fangs for the first time this weekend, with Jeroen Bleekemolen ending top of the GTD pile.
