The combination of AIM Autosport and drivers Townsend Bell and Bill Sweedler came together after Round 1 at Daytona, and nearly won the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship GT Daytona class in their first try, but according to team owner Ian Willis, he’s searching for a new tandem next season.

“Bill Sweedler’s plans have changed,” Willis told DailySportsCar.com. “While we still hope to work with him for a Le Mans effort, the rest of the plans have changed.”

Willis engineered the Level 5 Motorsports Ferrari F458 that Bell and Sweedler drove to victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona, and ramped up his Canada-based outfit to run the duo when Level 5 exited the TUDOR Championship prior to Sebring.

While rumors of Bell (Above, right)  and Sweedler (Above, left) moving to Scuderia Corsa in a Ferrari GTLM effort continue to circulate, Willis says he’ll concentrate on finding drivers to continue with AIM in GTD.

“Once again, we find ourselves looking to pull together a program after we thought we had something lined up,” he added. “At least this time we’ve got a bit more time to get a deal pulled together. We’re available for either the full season or the NAEC in TUSCC and we’re also looking into an entry into the Pirelli World Challenge.”
