The CRG-I Do Borrow team heads into Circuit of the America’s this week for the ninth round of the scheduled 10 in the 2015 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Series season. Both the team and drivers Owen Trinkler and Sarah Cattaneo enter this week’s events ranked fourth in their respective points’ championships with two rounds remaining.
The #44 Cruise America RV/Thor Motorcoach backed Honda Civic Si also looks to add to its streak of six straight Top-10 finishes as they push towards a Championship before seasons end in two weeks-time at Road Atlanta. The team has been hard at work since the Virginia International Raceway round to get into podium contention this week to continue to get valuable points in their run for a title.
“Our little team has been working so hard this year, the set-ups, changes, and race strategy have been spot on. The results are really a testament to their efforts. Sarah has done a great job in stepping up with some great runs, and giving me a car that I can run down the leaders.” Trinkler continues, “I really want to make this late push to give these guys, as well as Sarah and Joe (Cattaneo) a shot at the Championship.”
The Circuit of the America’s round kicks off with practice on Wednesday, September 16th at 1:25 pm ET, with Qualifying following on Thursday, September 17th at 1:35 pm ET. The race will drop the green flag on Friday, September 18th at 12:40 pm EST. The race can be watched live on IMSA.com, with television broadcast taking place on September 27th at 1:30 pm EST on Fox Sports 1.
