The Porsche GT Team turned the tables on Ford in the second IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship practice session at Lime Rock Park.

Gimmi Bruni, the German brand’s newest recruit for its IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship program, dropped the hammer in the No. 912 Porsche 911 RSR (50.601s) as Ford Chip Ganassi Racing’s Dirk Muller, who led the opening session in the No. 66 Ford GT, was relegated to second (+0.429s). The second practice also saw an improvement for Corvette Racing’s No. 4 C7.R as Jan Magnussen claimed third (+0.478s).

“I’m happy with the balance so far, especially for the race,” Bruni told IMSA Radio. “Qualifying is a question mark, but we’ll see.”

While the Italian was well clear of the GT Le Mans field, Paul Miller Racing’s Madison Snow wasn’t as fortunate with the No. 48 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 (52.479s) in GT Daytona. The young American was able to keep Daniel Morad at bay in the No. 28 Alegra Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 (+0.164s), and Scuderia Corsa’s Christina Nielsen kept things interesting by bringing her No. 63 Ferrari 488 into the mix in third (+0.219s).

UP NEXT: The 25-deep field was clean for its second hour of practice, and will have one more session to complete as qualifying is coming up quickly at 5:15 p.m. ET
