The No. 48 Paul Miller Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 driven by Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow has been penalized and moved to the rear of the GT Daytona field for today’s IMSA race at Road America.
The PMR team was fined $7,500 and Sellers and Snow were docked 15 points in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD Drivers’ championship. PMR also lost the same amount of entrants’ points. Prior to penalties, the No. 48 had qualified sixth for the Continental Tire Road Race Showcase.

Despite IMSA’s vague description of the infraction following post-qualifying technical inspection, it would appear the Lamborghini qualified with an engine control module that did not meet one of the many standards outlined in Rule 4.7.1 governing homologated components.
According to the rule, “At all times during IMSA-sanctioned Events it is the Entrant’s responsibility to ensure the configuration of the Car Model represents the Homologation components of the Specification; including: a. As-Homologated Configuration b. As-Delivered Configuration c. Parts Manual d. Homologation Extension Form Configuration.”
A second infraction for qualifying with a car that did not conform with the technical regulations was also assessed to the PMR team.
With the loss of points, Sellers and Snow have fallen from fourth to ninth in the standings, effectively ending any hope of a decent championship finish with only four races left to run.
“We won’t comment on severity of the penalty or the specifics of the situation,” Miller said. “But I’d like to commend the IMSA officials on the professional manner in which they went through their process yesterday.”
