“It’s such an arrogant European thing to say,” Daly said of Massa’s Formula 1-centric opinions. “Who does this help, this statement? Not one racing series at the top level, whether it’s NASCAR, Formula 1, or IndyCar, even NHRA; no one is not caring about safety. Is that a joke? C’mon. The fact that he would even say that is supremely offensive.”
