Tim Clauson and Richard Marshall have one of the most successful teams in USAC midget and sprint racing, but they’re heading for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this May. The Clauson-Marshall entry, to be driven by Pippa Mann and sponsored by the Indiana Donor’s Network, will mark the first time in a couple of decades that a full-time USAC stalwart has branched out and tried the Indianapolis 500.
“Bryan came to Indy as a USAC champion and this is something Richard and I want to try and see what happens,” said Tim Clauson, whose talented son was killed in a midget race in 2016 after he’d qualified for his third Indianapolis 500. “Pippa befriended Bryan when they were teammates at Indy, and she’s done a great job of promoting the Drive2SaveLives. We know it’s going to be tough competition this year, but our goal is to make the race and see what develops.”
