Coping confidently with wet conditions on Saturday at the Circuit of the Americas, the No. 9 K-PAX Racing Bentley Continental GT3 topped the qualifying charts with a fast time of 2m11.491s, Andy Soucek at the wheel. The K-PAX team swept the front row with Rodrigo Baptista qualifying the No. 3 Bentley in second, with a 2m11.541s best lap.

Third was the No. 1 R. Ferri Ferrari of Miguel Molina, with Daniel Morad’s Alegra Motorsports Porsche rounding out the second row of Pro class contenders.

Fastest in the Pro-Am class was the No. 71 Mercedes-AMG GT3 from P1 Motorsports driven by JC Perez. In the Am class, the top time went Autometrics Motorsports, its Porsche 911 GT3 R driven by Joe Toussaint.

The second qualifying group featured secondary drivers battling for Race 2 positioning, and fastest of all was the Racers Edge Motorsport Acura NSX driven by Kyle Marcelli with a time of 2m07.206s.

Maxi Buhk’s P1 Motorsports Porsche will share the front row, turning a best lap just 0.05s slower than the Acura.

Alegra Motorsports’ Porsche 911 GT3 R driven by Michael DeQuesada took the first Pro spot in Race 2, while the top Am spot went to defending co-champion Martin Fuentes’ Squadra Corse Ferrari 488 GT3.

Race 1 for the Blancpain GT World Challenge will be Saturday afternoon, with Race 2 on Sunday. All races from COTA will be live streamed.
